DEVELOPMENT OF ALGORITHMS AND COMPUTING
TECHNIQUES FOR DATA MINING OF SPECTRAL-BASED
INFORMATION FOR ECOLOGICAL
AND SOIL MAPPING
Czech–Israeli project
(2013-2015)
RESEARCH TOPICS
- quantitative modeling
- spectral information
- data mining
- computing system
- mapping
- spectral data harmonization / normalization
- hyperspectral applications
- environment
PROJECT GOALS
- To test new concept of statistical modeling – fully automatized
approach that employs all-possibilities approaches (APA)
to the best
performance statistical model
- To test and validate new models using spectroscopic data with high dimensionality as well as analytical data
- Create new tools for remote sensing community – IDL scripts and GUI’s -> QUANTools
BASIC INFORMATION
This bi-lateral research focused on hyperspectral remote sensing data analysis. The Israel team focused on developing a computing engine for (big) data mining of spectral data - PARACUDA®. The Czech team also developed software named QUANTools.
Research was being funded by the Ministry of education, youth and sports of the Czech Republic. Grant No. LH13266
